Tulalip CasinoThe Tulalip Casino opened in 2003 and is located in Tulalip, Washington. The Tulalip Casino is enormous and every feature of the area shows that. The large size starts with the 40-foot-high rock “island” in the middle of the roundabout circle loop that controls traffic on the way to the 5,000-car parking lot. Then you come upon the Orca whale in the first pond to the 20-foot-tall Indian spear-fisherman and Salmon in the second pond.The Entrance to the Tulalip Casino is framed by waterfalls on the walls of the casino. Once inside of the 227,000 square feet of casino you will find a 32-foot-high ceiling cove with a hand-painted mural that depicts the upstream journey of salmon. Then you will come across the 2,000 state-of-the-art slot and video poker machines. Then there are the over 50 tables, with game choices include Blackjack, Three-Card Poker, Let It Ride, Mini-Baccarat, Roulette and Tulalip Craps. There is a non-smoking poker room and they have seven day a week poker events. Progressive Jackpot Keno pays up to $100,000 and even though there is a 50 seat Keno Lounge, players can enjoy Keno anywhere in the casino. There is also a “high roller” room with its Blackjack and baccarat games, VIP lounge, television, and a private area for cell phone calls. Canoes Cabaret offers a blend of live entertainment, dancing and special celebrity shows. There are four dining choices available at the Tulalip Casino. The Tulalip Bay is the restaurant for fine dining while Cedars Café provides a casual and relaxing atmosphere. The Eagle’s Buffet offers a variety of dishes to please everyone or the Casino Carvery, which offers sandwiches, pizza, teriyaki, pastries & more are you other dining options. The Tulalip tribe brought their historic culture and added a modern flare. With sculptures such as a sculpture of a seaweed forest, home to several 8-foot long copper salmon swimming upward into the blackness of the 100-foot-high domed ceiling that rises out of a 60-foot-diameter circular bar. There are art pods hanging throughout the casino, representing canoes, waves, leaves, shells, wind, branches and smoke. The Tulalip Casino Hotel is currently under construction and is slated to open in 2008. It will have a 370-room 4-star caliber Resort & Spa to add to the Tulalip Casino. Even without the onsite lodging and spa, the Tulalip Casino is an amazing site with the fabulous sculptures and huge gaming area.
